From the May 1978 issue: The week of May 8th to 12th was the annual Atikokan High School Work Experience Week and seven young people were on the property observing and participating in various jobs. In the Shops Mechanical area were David Morrison and Bob Zerebeski, and in Shops Electrical -- Larry Pelletier. Doug Teeple worked with people in the Laboratory, and Don Desrochers accompanied the surveyors all week. Two young ladies from teh Business and Commerce course, Carol Thompson and Joan Miller, were placed in various offices on the property through the week. On Friday afternoon, all the students were given a tour of the pit and the plant, courtesy of the Mining and Metallurgy Divisions. They appeared to enjoy this last part of their work week the most, for they were kept busy as shutterbugs with their cameras. |
